REALLY checking in this time…
Good morning everyone! I don’t much like being up this early on a Saturday but a certain wizardling decided that 6:30 AM was plenty late to sleep and snuggling in bed with his parents was not an acceptable option. I, being the very nice person I am, decided to let my Slytherin man sleep. Selfless, I tell you!
My roommates are getting their animals soon! How exciting! Hector will definitely like other intelligent animals around – I bet he might even be able to pop his head under the water to talk to Ingrid’s Betta.
Since both my spoiler Narcissa and my roommate Ingrid asked about Remedial Magical Symphony, I thought I would share a little more about it. I play cello now, although it had been 11 years since I played when I picked up that magical bow again – I even bought a new one for the occasion! Mine is a carbon fiber bow rather than wood this time, but it was still infused with the heartstrings of a siren. I have also played percussion, flute, harmonica, piano, and electric bass.
This is going to a fun term, I can tell! I really like my roommates and I can’t wait to see what kind of mischief we get into! Teehee!
And now, for my homework:

Oooooh, wow! The cello! :3 I’ve always been envious of string players. Probably because we didn’t have any (except for Luke who played string bass at my muggle high school), and the orchestra where I teach has strings, as well as a string ensemble.
Is it hard to play it? I bet those siren strings will make it sound lovely!
When I played for my alumni concert last weekend, I hadn’t picked up my clarinet in about a year, but I hadn’t done any serious playing in eight years. o.O; Many of us were in the same boat, but we did really well!
I can play any intrument by ear, provided I’m taught how to play it. I’ve played clarinet (still do), bass clarinet, and I can play piano by ear (I took lessons ages ago). I’d love to learn how to play the flute, just for the heck of it. I think the sound is enchanting.
It’ll be interesting to see how all of our animals interact! I should be able to introduce my Betta soon! But what to name him? Hmmm…..

We are a musical room! I am also a lapsed cellist — I played from 1st grade through middle school, but quit in favor of choir in high school … I have never played any other instruments, though, except piano and the radio (ha ha).
We’ll have to do some posting about the concerts in our room. Maybe we can be a band, like the Weird Sisters!!

Yay for music! I used to play percussion in high school and still do play the piano, recorder, and guitar (badly…I just started learning this one!). I think the harp would be pretty neat…it’s on my to-do list for this life.
This was passed to me, so now I’ll pass to you to complete: http://snagglebeast.blogspot.com/2008/06/meme.html
